Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is Endermologie recognized by the FDA?

Yes! Approved in 1998, Endermologie® was the first mechanized treatment to receive FDA clearance for cellulite reduction.

Q: Is Endermologie only for cellulite reduction?

No! The FDA also recognizes Endermologie for the relief of Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS), minor muscle aches and pains, and muscle spasms. Your muscles will inevitably become sore after a proper workout; muscle soreness and joint pain being frequent problems for athletes. Many people allow themselves to be overcome by the challenges of their exercise program, including severe soreness after workout. The key is to not allow these obstacles to stop or deter you from reaching your full potential.

With Endermologie, you'll feel the difference with enhanced physical performance and endurance during your workout, and you'll notice the effects from better recovery after your workout. See me before vigorous exercise to help energize your muscles and maximize your workout. A treatment beforehand not only increases blood circulation, it also improves the visco-elasticity of the muscles, thereby preventing the minute tears of muscle fibers, and the muscular swelling that causes DOMS.

Schedule a visit with me to aid in lessening soreness after your workout. Endermologie helps with the elimination of lactic acid, the drainage of inflammation, and relieves stiffness to provide greater flexibility. Those who incorporate Endermologie into their workout routines enjoy improved comfort in everyday life, as well as improved static and dynamic strength.

Q: How many Endermologie treatment sessions will I need?

The average number of sessions is two to three per week.  Changes can occur within 5-6 sessions, yet 14 is the average number of suggested treatments for best results. Once-a-month maintenance sessions are recommended after the initial set.

Q: How long is each session?

Treatments last an average of 35 minutes.  Each 35-minute session is custom-designed according to your individual treatment needs and body type.

Q: Do I have to follow any diet or exercise guidelines?

To maximize your results, it is recommended that the patient drink eight glasses of water every day during the duration of the treatment.  Although results are possible without a healthy lifestyle, physique goals may be realized faster and sustained longer with a healthy diet and regular exercise.

Q: Is the treatment comfortable?

An Endermologie treatment feels like a deep massage.  The strength of the treatment can be individually adjusted to your personal comfort level.  A body suit is worn for better treatment and ultimate hygiene.

Q:  How long do the results last?

Results last from several months up to a few years, depending on age, lifestyle, and hormonal changes.

Q: How Qualified is the person giving me the treatment?

Vivian and her staff are Endermologie trained technicians.  Each has mastered a rigorous, hands-on course to ensure you receive proper treatment.  In addition to general program selection and machine utilization, this training includes instruction on body type analysis and the creation of individualized treatment protocols for client-specific needs.

Q: How is Endermologie different from Liposuction?

Endermologie is a non-surgical, noninvasive procedure, not requiring anesthesia or breaking of the skin. There is no pain or downtime experienced with Endermologie. Plastic surgeons all over the country do, in fact, recommend Endermologie as part of the Liposuction process. Several treatments before surgery will make the fat softer, and easier for the surgeon to extract. Treatments after surgery will smooth out the lumps and the bumps commonly associated with Liposuction treatment.

Q: Can I receive cellulite reduction treatments if I am pregnant?

Though no correlation has been found between Endermologie and pregnancy complications, for liability reasons, I cannot treat pregnant clients. But we can get started as soon as six weeks after delivery.
